| Landing into Bodø Airport, I am captivated by the towering Strandåtind-area mountains, with its sharp, jagged peaks, visible from the Bodø Airport. |
| During the flight between Bodø and Tromsø, one can see the unspoiled mountain landscape of Northern Norway. |
| Tromsdalen, as seen across the fjord from the sentrum of Tromsø, with some of the mountains such as Tromstinden. The white building to the left is the Arctic Cathedral (Ishavskatedralen). |
| Colourful buildings surrounding the port of Tromsø at the sentrum, with boats in stow. |
| This is the Tromsø Domkirche, a protestant church made from wood. As they say, it is the northernmost wooden church of Protestant faith. |
| I decided to to go on an island-hopping boat tour from Bellvik, near Tromsø, out to the Arctic Ocean. Here, one can see the people with heavy coats, drinking coffee and eating snacks. The guy in blue uniform is the ticket collector. |
| On the boat, looking out through Skulsfjorden towards the mountains of the island of Kvaløya. |
| I think the mountains over Kaldfjorden are pretty amazing. It probably would make a great hike if not for the snowcapped summits. |
| Mountains hanging over the haze, as seen from the boat. It starts to become really cold the further the boat goes out in the sea. |
| Sørfugløya, or South Bird Island, was probably the most popular sight during the boat trip. Here, it is visible behind the islands of Sandøya and Sandvær. |
| Stopping at the island of Sandøya, a lot of people got off, bringing vital supplies of groceries and whatnots with them to their homes in Sandøya.. |
| On the way back to Bellvik. Doesn't it look peaceful?. |
| TA view from my hostel room window towards Tromsdalen at midnight, showing the white night. A white night means that the sky never really becomes dark due to the midnight sun. One can still see the alpenglow from the sun at the mountaintops. |
| A deserted street in the city of Tromsø during the early morning hours. It's already bright daylight at 2 in the morning! |
| Flying from Tromsø towards Narvik (enroute to Bodø), there were some great seascape to be seen. One can see how deep the fjords are, and where the shallow seabottoms are at (aqua blue colour). |
