Welcome

the pages of my past hikes, mostly which were done
in Utah. Click on the photo, and you will be taken
to that specific page.
I
also have some pages with tips for hiking, which can
be seen here.
Also,
I have a wishlist of places where I would like to go
hiking, which can be seen here.
I
hope you will enjoy my hiking reports.

October 2006 - Longing to hike again, I coaxed
my bf to go hiking again. We chose Grandeur Peak due
to no snow cover and proximity to home. |

August 2006 - During my trip in Norway, I
decided to hike one of the famous hiking route to
Pulpit Rock, some 1000 metres above the Lysefjorden. |

July 2006: I walked quite a bit around the
island of Moskenesoya, trying to find the Munkebu
trail. It was such a beautiful place, and I got to
see the village of Reine as well. |

August 2005: This was our second hike up Lake
Blanche Trail, which was much different than our
first one which was in May 2004, when the trail went
through some snow fields. |

August 2005: Trying to meet with a group of deaf
hikers, I couldn't find them anywhere. So I decided
to go hiking on my own, going to Cecret Lake, and
ultimately, Sugarloaf Peak. |

August 2005: Bored out of my mind, I decided to
do a last minute hiking, and chose Frary Peak on
Antelope Island as my destination. It started out
beautifully, but the hike was threatened by
t-storms. |

August 2005: Wanting my Kim to come along with
me, but taking in account of time constraint and my
Kim's preference of a short hike, we decided on
hiking up Catherine Pass towards Sunset Peak. |

2004: Kim and I went for a drive down to Mirror
Lake Highway in the Unitas, and went for a short
hike up Bald Mountain, which afford us of fantastic
view of the Unitas from the top. |

October 2004: This was our second attempt to
ascend Mt. Olympus, a mountain on the edge of Salt
Lake Valley. During our first attempt, Kim injured
his right foot so we went down for safety, and were
greeted by a rattlesnake. Our second hike was much
better. |

August 2004: Ever since I moved to Provo, I
began to dream of ascending Mt. Timpanogos. Kim and
I went on a 8-hour long hike from Aspen Grove to the
summit. It was great to ascend one of the county's
highest peaks, at 11,749 feet above sea level. |

August 2004: After hiking some peaks in the
Wasatch Range, I felt as if I wanted a change and to
hike elsewhere. I decided to hike up Deseret Peak in
the Stansbury Mountains Range west of Salt Lake
City. I really liked this one because it was not
crowded with mountains around me. |

July 2004: For my birthday, I had wanted to hike
up to Mt. Raymond from Mill B Fork trailhead. It was
a great hike, which took me to Baker Pass, and we
somehow ended up going to Gobbler's Knob instead of
Mt. Raymond, whose peak seemed to be quite imposing
compared to Gobbler's Knob. |

July 2004: During the Fourth of July weekend, we
decided to go to Bear Lake. Knowing that I love
hiking, Kim suggested hiking up to Naomi Peak during
one of the days of our trip. Naomi Peak is a
beautiful peak in middle of nowhere, with towns far
off. |

May 2004: During a very warm day in the valley,
we decided to cool off by going for a hike in the
mountains, specifically to Lake Blanche. We were
caught off guard when we arrived at the top of our
trail, which was covered with more than a metre of
compacted snow. |

2004: Ever since my wanderlust had been
awakened, we decided to go hiking up Grandeur Peak,
which was supposedly to be easy enough for novice
hikers. Part of the top of the trail was covered in
snow, but it didn't hinder our ascent to the summit. |

April 2004: When I went on a business trip with
Kim in Southern Utah, he kept telling me about a
wonderful trail called Angel's Landing, and how we
had to do it. It was a bit too much for a first hike
for a flatlander like me! |
